Prachi is a Kathak dancer, Indian classical dance performer, Choreographer, Teacher, an Artistic Director and Kathak Kalaguru at “Nritya Spandan Kala Nikunj”, Kala Nikunj of  Indian classical and folk dance, Navi Mumbai. She has founded “ Nritya Spandan Kala Nikunj- an art school in 2015, it's her dream project.

Prachi is also a Management professional and active folk wall painting artist too from last more than 8 years. She has double post graduation in Management Degree and Performing Arts (Kathak). She has done advance diploma in Sitar (a classical instrument) and Ad Making & Designing for Print Media. She has worked as a  social worker with several NGOs too. She is selected DOORDARSHAN Artist.

Prachi has been selected by Jaipur Doordarshan and MP Government for "Uttradhikari" program. She won so many awards in Folk dance too and always does something different.

She has performed at several places like :

In Guru-Shishya parampara, She has learned Kathak under the guidance of Dr. Shashi Sankhla (Former Director of the Jaipur Kathak Kendra) and currently the disciple of Smt. Geetanjali Lal (Renowned kathak dancer of Jaipur gharana).​

As a dancer :-

• Have done 8 yrs. advanced diploma course in Kathak dance from Banasthali Vidyapith.

• Have been trained in “ Kathak ” & “Folk” for more than 14 yrs.

• Completed a couple of sessions in Bollywood dance.

• Attended several workshops and seminars on various Indian dance forms.

• Performed several stage shows for “Classical “and “Folk” dance.

   

Extra Curricular:-

• Have been an integral part of Sankalp ”Music Institution”.

• Organised workshop on Semi Classical Dance for students, Bhopal.

• Active member of NGO, Udaipur & Navi Mumbai.

• Performed in various dance dramas…Kaaliya Daman, Ashtnaayika Bhed & Raas Holi.

• Organised dance shows in school & college functions.

• Attended theatre & acting workshop, performed as well in dramas.

• Performed in youth festival held in Jiwaji University, Gwalior.

   

Gurus:-

• Was trained under Vandana Chaubey for kathak “Banaras/Jaipur Gharana from 1992-2000

• Later joined as a disciple of Smt. Shashi Sankhala ji “ HOD of Jaipur Kathak Kendra & renowned kathak dancer”.

• 1 yr. training in kathak from Kshama Bhate in Pune.

• Was trained under Kallaji “renowned folk dance artist” Jyoti Bharti & Trupti Thakkar  for various forms of Rajasthani & Gujrati folk.

Dance is absolute passion of my life. Dance, for me is the worship and the pure happiness. I don't dance...I live in dance and reach at different levels - from the sublimely spiritual to the vibrantly physical, from the purely intellectual to the intensely emotional. At its most intense level, it is a joyous prayer and an appeal to unite with the ultimate.

Art is the essence of my existence. Dance makes me energetic me . नर्तनम् ताप कर्तनम्।  The art of dance removes all troubles. My day starts with a prayer dance and ends teaching dance to my talented students. Dance school "Kala Nikunj" is the biggest dream of my life where nature meets to art, where Indian dances preserving its pure essence along with Yoga. I believe that all classical dances are uncompleted without Yoga. The only goal for dance with yoga is pure devotion. I would like to grow in dance aesthetically and to reach my desired ultimate aesthetic goal via dance.

जीव अनुरज श्वसिहि मदेन - (Live Love Breathe with Passion) is the motto of my life. I enjoy many different  artistic things and always open to learn new things. I enjoy expressing by paintings.

Since my childhood Home decoration, Artistic wall painting, Cooking, Reading etc are my favoraite things to do and I have developed them as my hobbies. Travelling is also a big part of my life. I took training in Classical Music from Banasthali Vidyapith for 6 years.
